The DigiCert Root Certificates below are used for issuing certificates to DigiCert customers.
These root certificates are widely trusted and will continue to be used increasingly in the coming years to issue
certificates to businesses of all sizes, educational institutions, financial institutions, and government entities worldwide.
DigiCert SSL Certificates are issued under one of the oldest and most widely supported roots in the industry,
which is trusted by virtually every browser in use today, as well as dozens of smart phones and handheld computing devices.
As one of the largest certificate providers in the world, certificates issued by DigiCert are trusted by all common browsers,
mail clients, operating systems, and browsers.
THE ROOT CERTIFICATES ARE PROVIDED AS IS WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY WHATSOEVER.
DIGICERT HEREBY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED,
OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY
OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES AND UNDER NO LEGAL THEORY WILL
A PARTY BE LIABLE TO THE OTHER PARTY, OR TO ANY THIRD PARTY, FOR ANY
CONSEQUENTIAL, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES,
WHETHER FORESEEABLE OR UNFORESEEABLE, EVEN IF EITHER PARTY HAS
BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. FURTHER, TO THE
EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW AND EXCEPT FOR DIGICERT’S OBLIGATIONS
UNDER SECTION 4 OF THIS AGREEMENT, UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL A
PARTY’S LIABILITY FOR ANY ACTION OR CLAIM EXCEED USD 1,000 (ONE
THOUSAND UNITED STATES DOLLARS), REGARDLESS OF WHETHER SUCH
ACTION OR CLAIM IS BASED IN CONTRACT, TORT, STRICT LIABILITY, OR OTHERWISE.
DigiCert does not charge or require any special license agreement for the use and/or distribution of these root certificates.
However, if the organization that you are with requires that you obtain a license agreement in order to include the DigiCert roots
into your application, please review the DigiCert Root Inclusion Agreement Template.
We believe that your success is built on trust. Therefore, DigiCert is dedicated to only providing certificates that have been
validated to the highest standards. In line with this commitment, the DigiCert Root Certificates are used to issue only
High Assurance and EV certificates. No low-assurance or domain-only vetted certificates are issued under them.
